Project Night Train
Project Night Train was a conversion from traditional diesel drive to a hybrid electric solution. The project was completed spring 2021 and the yacht has been operating since then.
Project scope:
– Replace old diesel engine with Oceanvolt hybrid electric drivetrain. The old diesel engine is replaced with a diesel generator to supply the power and charge batteries. The electric motor drives the shaft and can also charge the batteries during sailing.
– Replace hydraulic bow thruster with electric.
