Project Night train was a conversion from traditional diesel drive to an hybrid electric solution. The project was completed spring 2021 and the yacht has been operating since then. Project scope: – Replace old diesel engine with Oceanvolt hybrid electric drivetrain. The old diesel engine is replaced with a diesel generator to suppply the power and charge batteries. The electric motor drives the shaft and can also charges the batteries during sailing. – Replace hydraulic bow thruster with electric. Read the owners comments at: Oceanvolt – S/Y Night Train.
