The question was whether it was possible to create an even better version of the success and bestseller in 30 feet. The answer is yes – and with a reason. Here is the Nord Star 31+. You can of course take the safe route and settle for a few small refinements when building a sequel. Or, as in the case of the Nord Star 31+, you can aim even higher. Something we are glad they did. Hence the creation of the Nord Star 31+, which has improved the safe sea characteristics, the low consumption and the functional overall with several new grips. An example of this is the new step strips, which quite obviously increase efficiency and dampen hull noise considerably. But it doesn’t stop there. Furthermore, they have magically conjured up the limited space and made the boat feel liberatingly spacious. Not least thanks to wide passages out to the deck via the side doors and the substantial sliding door at the aft edge of the cabin. The list of refinements and improvements then continues with a tough and ergonomically very well designed driver’s seat with dual seats. No matter where you are in the salon, you are offered a magnificent and uninterrupted view in all directions – not to mention what the large light intakes do for the feeling of space on board. Last but not least, it is important not to be fooled by the boat’s tough exterior appearance. Behind the facade hides a very cozy and fully equipped houseboat and holiday home that thrives best when the sea is rough and when other boats stay safely inside the harbor piers.
